Artist, writer, daughter, wife, aunt, child of God. I also enjoy putzing around with art and in the garden. Among other things, I love to read, write and cook. Some of my favorite authors are Madeleine L’Engle, Margaret Feinberg and Scot McKnight. This blog is a catch-all for recording my spiritual as well as my writing journey. I also have some pages dedicated to prayers, poetry and artwork. Feel free to leave a comment or contact me directly at unfinishedwork “at sign” gmail “dot” com.
I started blogging in June of 2004, slightly ahead of the blogging curve I think. I came across some author blogs (Robin Lee Hatcher comes to mind) and thought it would be a good outlet for writing. My first goal was to blog for twenty-one days straight, which I did, before cutting back to just a few times weekly.
I originally called my blog “Simply Put” but when I changed to the Blogger Platform, I went with the name Unfinished Work. This phrase is taken from Philippians 1:6 “Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” I truly recognize that my life is just a work in progress and want to dwell in the reality of God’s transforming grace on a daily basis.
You are welcome to check out my original blog on Blogger, where I blogged until December 2008. Thanks for stopping by!
