My word for the year last year was “shine,” a reflection on this verse in Matthew 5, which in some versions says we are to let our lights shine before men, so that they may see God. This past week in worship we sang a song by Ben Cantelon, “Everything in Color.” It reminded me of both that word and this verse. Shine and color go hand in hand. Life for everyone will be richer and fuller as we begin to live and see the full spectrum of God’s love and work of grace in the world.
(This was a fun little piece to do – the background is all digital brush work that I did myself).
